Bilingual Mailroom Clerk

Position: Bilingual Mailroom Clerk

Location: Downtown Montreal, QC

Responsibilities:

  • Sign for, record and direct all incoming Canada Post and courier deliveries
  • Deliver, slot, pickup and sort all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Process internal and external mass mailings
  • Process all outgoing UPS and Purolator courier shipments
  • Receive incoming couriers and notify intended recipient(s) as soon as possible
  • Meter outgoing Canada Post mail
  • Maintain postage, courier, and shipping supplies as required
  • Customer service: answer any client’s inquiries regarding mail, courier items and supplies; respond to incoming email inquiries if applicable
  • Maintain accurate records of urgent business mail delivery
  • Ensure all lookups mail are processed, counted and logged
  • Work in conjunction with supervisor to formulate process improvements for the mailroom
  • Process invoices as required
  • Other duties as required

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • 6 months to 1 year prior experience in customer/office service or mailroom
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (French and English)
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and strong customer skills
  • Knowledge and experience using postage metering machine, UPS, FedEx Shipping systems (an asset)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to use a computer
